Speaker: Ps. Lim Lip YongSermon: Are You a Pharisee?
It seems like Jesus was always picking on the Pharisees in the Gospels. Numerous parables that were told were also targeted at them. In fact, some of the strongest words that Jesus spoke were directed at this group of people. Perhaps it is high time then for us to examine the problem of the Pharisees and see if we can find the same problems in our own lives.
10.30amBAHASAINDONESIANSERVICEVenue: Theatrette 2Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ibu SusanniSermon: Our New Character in Christ series - Submitting Ourselves
In learning to submit ourselves, we will firstly need to understand the order of authority that has been set by the Lord Himself and why we should submit to authorities that are above us. What is the meaning and importance of submission and what are some of the hindrances that we will encounter in so doing. Finally, we take a look at the blessings of submission and how each of us can experience God's abundant blessings in submission.
10.45amFILIPINO SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1 Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Brenda MadridSermon: Facing Loneliness
Everyone faces lonely moments in life. But when loneliness begins to define our lives, it causes serious problems. We compromise our principles to try to fill the emotional emptiness and the consequences can be devastating. God desires to fulfill every longing we have for meaningful relationships and we can come running to Him – the Lover of our souls.

1.30pmYOUTH SERVICEVenue: Main AuditoriumOdeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Paul Liu JiancongSermon: Really Real
I like the way the Amplified Bible explains 1 Peter 3:15 – “Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you." The key word here is logical. How do we share Christ with others in a logical manner? How do we preach the Gospel at a level where pre-believers can relate to and understand? The NIV says, “Always be prepared to give an answer.” Are you prepared? It’s time to tell the world that Jesus is really real!
2.00pmAFRICAN SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Daniel KisaSermon: Book of Ruth series - The Fruit of a Broken Vessel
The Bible portrays Ruth as a broken young woman. A widow at an early age and a beggar in the season of harvest. But the Holy Ghost then turns a new page which changes the destiny of this young woman and signals the end of her perpetual misery in life. The same grace of God is still available to give us a new start in life.

English Services July 4-5, 2009
Saturday service • 5pmSunday 1st & 2nd service • 8.30 & 10.30amVenue: Cornerstone Main AudiA Mighty River of ProphecySpeaker: Ps. Yang Tuck YoongThere is a mighty prophetic river that is flowing in the Church today that we must learn to jump into and tap from. The Church of Jesus Christ is called to be a Prophetic Body and anything less than this is falling short of His glory and standards. But how do we tap into this river of prophecy? How do we raise the standard of the prophetic in the Church today? We will be answering these vital questions this weekend.

10.30amMANDARINSERVICEVenue: #02-34Katong Audi
Speaker: Ps. Samuel WongSermon: Power of Words, Wish & Wonder (part 2)
Blessings are released through the words we proclaim, the acts we do and the thoughts we harbor. The Bible tells us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue"; "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks"; "As a man thinks, so is he." Words, thoughts and our hearts' intents can be creative or destructive. May we learn to use them constructively to birth forth purposes of God, to bless people and build lives.
10.30amBAHASAINDONESIANSERVICEVenue: Theatrette 2Odeon Katong
Speaker: Peter SamSermon: Evangelism Week – Why We Need to Evangelise
God, the Father, has given us His Son as a standard to follow. Receiving Him as our personal Saviour enables us to learn just how can we live up to the standard. The Holy Spirit, as our Helper, energises us to live in that standard daily so that we as Christians can live a life of more than a conqueror, one of life and peace.
10.45amFILIPINO SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1 Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Hazeil MinozaSermon: From Impossible to Possible
Matthew 14:22-33 gives us a beautiful story of the apostle Peter's faith to do beyond the natural – where the impossible becomes possible. This message will give us the key to believe for the things God asks us to do. We can step out with the God-given authority and empowerment upon our lives to accomplish even that which seems impossible to the human understanding.
1.00pmBURMESESERVICEVenue: #02-24
Speaker: Ps. Cameron WalcottSermon: Foundation series (part 2): Faithfulness
Faithfulness is a vital but often neglected quality. In our quest for spiritual power and greatness, we often forget that what God is really looking for is people who are faithful in every aspect of their lives, both big and small. If we are faithful in our everyday responsibilities, whether they be at home, workplace, school, or church, God will promote us and His blessing will rest on our lives.
1.30pmYOUTH SERVICEVenue: Main AuditoriumOdeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Paul Liu JiancongSermon: Hell's Best Kept Secret (part 2)
Many may agree with me that intellectuals are the hardest to save. Endless debates with them take up hours and bear no fruit. Should we go for the mind? Or should we go for the conscience? And how do we witness to friends from other religions? How exactly do we speak the truth with conviction, and yet with all gentleness at the same time? Get equipped this Sunday. Get Ready, Get Set, Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature!
2.00pmAFRICAN SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Daniel KisaSermon: Book of Ruth series - The Kinsman Redeemer
Christ the Lord is our ultimate Redeemer. He has redeemed us with His precious blood – once and for all! However, every aspect of our lives needs to be redeemed on a daily basis. Experience the redemptive power that will usher you into your divine destiny.
