One of the great battles that we all have to overcome in the last days is the battle against coldness. Our Lord Himself warned that in the days we live in, the love of many will grow cold. Ps. Bendot comes from a Muslim background and was trained for warfare in the Middle East in the name of religion. Bendot is an interactive speaker who often engages his listeners with many real life stories that brings practical application to the Scriptures.
10.30amFILIPINO SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1 Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Brenda MadridSermon: The Power of Hope
"Proverbs 13:12 - Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when desired is fulfilled, it is a tree of life". Hope is the happy anticipation of good things. Hope believes everything is going to to turn out all-right, hope is positive. It is a powerful spiritual force that is activated through our positive attitude. Faith and hope stands side by side, because hope is the foundation on which our faith stands. Whatever happens, trust in the Lord and trust in the power of hope!
10.30amBURMESESERVICEVenue: Level 3 Foyer Creche
Speaker: Ps. Saw ThihaSermon: Kingdom Mindset Series (Part 2): Called to Commitment
Jesus calls all believers to be His disciples. The bible never mentioned that there are two categories of Christians, the believers and the disciples. Not only did Jesus call the unsaved to turn from sin, He also called them to commit themselves to follow and obey immediately. Discipleship is not an optional second step of commitment. Those who truly believed Jesus is the Son of God would desire to obey and please Him. Such believers/disciples would naturally abide in His Word, making it their home.

Pastor Moses founded Maranatha Faith Community in 1982, currently having 150 Pastors and Churches, 3 Bible Schools, 4 Children Homes with 350 Orphans and Poor, an Ashram for Widows and Destitute, and publishes a monthly Magazine in Vernacular language.Cornerstone African Congregation is 3 years old! English Services Jan 18, 2009
1st service • 8.30am Guest Speaker: Evangelist Jayme MonteraEvangelist Jayme Montera was born and raised in Pueblo, CO. Since the age of 14, he felt a strong calling into ministry, but it was only through a series of encounters with God that caused him to begin selling out to God in radical ways. He started serving in his local church as a youth leader and shortly after, he began a Gen-x street church – a street outreach targeting their community for Christ. The outcome birthed many different avenues of ministry that are still in effect to this day. While successfully reaching a number of teenagers, college students, and the homeless, he still had an aching in his hearts for the nations. This feeling would not leave him, so in December 2001, he resigned from the staff of Praise Assembly of God, in Pueblo, CO in order to step into the call of full-time evangelism. For the past five years, he has traveled across this nation preaching repentance, hope, forgiveness, deliverance, healing, and empowerment. He has seen blind eyes opened, deaf ears hear, broken bones mended, people stand up out of wheel chairs, broken hearts healed, and thousands of souls saved. Jayme is married to Michelle, and they have three beautiful children.
2nd service • 10.30amSpeaker: Ps. Yang Tuck YoongSermon: Honour – The Key that Unlocks God's Favour (Building Foundations series)
This is the 4th installment in our "Building Foundations" series and this week, we will be looking at the subject of "Honour: The Key that Unlocks God's Favor". God places a huge premium on this virtue and if we can learn to honour not just the Lord, but also those He sends to us, we can unlock tremendous blessings and favour upon our lives. It is a vital foundation in our building process!

10.30amMANDARINSERVICEVenue: #02-34Katong Audi
Speaker: Ps. Samuel Wong
As the pastor of the Cornerstone Chinese congregation, Ps. Samuel has been called to raise an end-time army through discipleship. He and his wife, Ruby, have also been passionately labouring for the China mission fields for the past 11 years.
10.30amBAHASA SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 2Odeon Katong
Speaker: Peter SamSermon: Learning to Pray Effectively
If learning to pray is the foundation of every believer, then, learning to pray effectively must be the result of that foundation being established firmly through a consistent walk with the Lord. Ultimately, the more time spent with Him, the more you realize that praying connects every part of you to Him. Scripture mentions about watching & praying, fasting & praying and interceding & praying; find out how they connect the dots in an effective prayer life.
10.30amFILIPINO SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1 Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Hazeil MinozaSermon: Growing in Maturity series
Every father's desire is for his child to grow up in maturity over time. Likewise, our heavenly Father is looking for sons and daughters in the house; those who have exercised themselves in the things of the spirit. This new teaching series explores the book of James and what it means to be rooted and grounded in the Word. As the apostle reiterates, It's not in the mere hearing, but the doing of God's Word that will enable us to go on to maturity.
10.30amBURMESESERVICEVenue: Level 3 Foyer Creche
Speaker: Ps. Saw ThihaSermon: Kingdom Mindset
Many people, even Christians, are influenced by earthly thoughts. They adopt a mentality not different from that of the world and often suffer the consequences of what the Bible calls "a carnal mind". From the apostle Paul's letter to the early Church, we see that this was also a problem amongst the Corinthians. Paul reminded the believers to examine themselves that Christ is in them. We need to constantly be renewed in our minds, so that we can walk with a kingdom mindset.

2.00pmAFRICAN SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1Odeon Katong
Speaker: Pastor John EkundayoSermon: The Road to Rehoboth (part 2 of 5)
In part 2 of this series, we look at two things that Isaac did which prompted God to do three things for him in his journey to Rehoboth – the land of more than enough (spaciousness). Come along with us on this great discovery as we learn from the patriarchs who made the Almighty God, the Possessor of heaven & earth, their source of sustenance and strength in times of famine.

1st & 2nd service • 8.30 & 10.30am Speaker: Ps. Yang Tuck YoongSermon: IntegrityIn this dark and corrupt world that we live in, the man who walks in his integrity shines brightly. Walking in integrity is certainly costly in our day and age; but the lack of it is even more so. In Matthew 16: 26, Jesus said, "What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?" How many of us are willing to lose our own souls just so that we can make a little more money? How many of us are willing to tell a lie just so that we can secure a deal? When we choose worldly gain over personal integrity, we hurt and invariably sell out our own soul. A compelling message!Don't miss The Vine Band from Hong Kong as they lead us in a time of worship in this Sunday's services.MORE ABOUT THE VINE BANDThe Vine Band is a modern praise and worship band based in Hong Kong, China. Led by worship leader, Tom Read, The Vine Band has been pioneering a new sound of worship in Hong Kong, and throughout Asia. Their vision is to see and hear a new sound of worship rising up from Asia and make a significant impact around the world.

10.30amBAHASA SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 2Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ibu Susanni
Ibu Susanni is an excellent teacher of the Word, and has the ability to expound difficult theologies making it easy to understand using colourful analogies and imageries. She sings and choreographs Christmas cantatas and other musical presentations. Ibu Sanni studied in the Trinity Bible Seminary in Malang in 1985 and has since been an itinerant minister in Indonesia, Singapore & Australia. She has a passionate intercessory heart for the salvation of souls. Ibu Sanni teaches in the Batam Bible School and is also involved in the Prison Ministry there.
10.30amFILIPINO SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1 Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Hazeil MinozaSermon: To Feast or NOT to Feast
What are some of the supernatural promises associated with fasting and guidelines on how we can have a successful fast. Amongst the many benefits and rewards of fasting, you will discover a fresh encounter with God that will open the windows of heaven and slam shut the gates of hell. This message is vital for every person who calls himself a follower of Jesus.
10.30amBURMESESERVICEVenue: Level 3 Foyer Creche
Speaker: Ps. Saw ThihaSermon: God-given VisionMany of us have goals that we often refer to as our "vision". However, some goals actually work against God-given vision. When we turn to the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-19, it clearly shows that Jesus wants His disciples to be disciple-making ministers. This is what God-given vision is for all believers. There will be costly commitments and inevitable hardship, but the fruit of God-given vision will ultimately produce tremendous blessings.
1.00pmYOUTH SERVICEVenue: Main AuditoriumOdeon Katong
Speaker: Andrew YeoSermon: The Cry for Help!
In order to make a difference in the lives of others, we need to let God make a difference in our own lives. Jesus said to the leper, "I will, be thou clean." Those are the same words that He wants to say to the need of every man today. The healing of the Leper was far more than just a physical healing. Christ seeks not to simply save our soul but to fully and wholly restore us. Jesus is willing to heal, but are we willing to come to him to be healed?
2.00pmAFRICAN SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1Odeon Katong
Speaker: Pastor John EkundayoSermon: The Road to Rehoboth (part 1 of 5)
Rehoboth means spaciousness or enlargement. This is the Word of God to us in the African Congregation for the year 2009. The times we live in bear striking resemblance to the time of Isaac’s sojourn in Gerar of the Philistines, described as “times of famine”. We can learn much from the patriarchs on how they made the Almighty God, the Possessor of heaven & earth, their source of sustenance and strength in times of famine.
SaturdayLife! A new Saturday evening service of Cornerstone Community Church Every Saturday, 5-7pm @ Katong Audi #02-34 THIS WEEK JANUARY 10Journeying into God's PromisesSpeaker: Ps. Lim Lip Yong
The truth is that most of us have received promises from God in our lives, yet shockingly, most have no idea how God is going to bring those promises to pass in our lives. In fact, for a lack of knowledge and understanding, many believers never enter into the promises and calling of God in their lives.
Come take a journey with the Patriarch Abraham and discover keys for entering into God's promises.
