English Services Mar 27-28, 2010Saturday service • 5pmSunday 1st & 2nd service • 8.30 & 10.30amVenue: Cornerstone Main AudiSpeaker: Ps. Yang Tuck YoongSermon: Of Portals & DoorwaysThere are two realms of existence: the spiritual realm and the physical or material world in which we live in. These two realms are distinct from each another and are separated. Those from one realm cannot assess into the other. Spirits and demons from the other realm cannot assess into our realm, and neither can we who are human beings assess into their realm. There is no crossover. But there are doorways and these doors connect these two realms. These doorways are like portals and they give access from one realm into the other and vice versa and this is the hour for the Church to learn how to enter through these portals to bring all that heaven has for us into our world.

Speaker: Elder Soon Tats FahSermon: In Returning & Rest (part 2)
"In returning and rest shall ye be saved…" (Isa 30:15). In life, there's always a time to take stock, examine our positions and do course correction. The right course is in returning to His dwelling, finding rest and peace in Him. Learn from the journey of Ruth, as we glean the lessons of returning.
INDONESIANSERVICESUNDAY10.30amVenue: Theatrette 2Odeon Katong
Guest Speaker: Tony WandaSermon: God is LoveThe proof of our new birth is our ability to love and this is the essence of the Fruit of the Spirit. The Apostle John encourages us to demonstrate this love because love is the very nature of God and we are His children. Secondly, because God has loved us, we should likewise become channels of His love to others. Finally, if we love one another, God abides in us.
FILIPINO 1st SERVICESUNDAY10.45amVenue: Theatrette 1 Odeon Katong
Speaker: Brenda MadridSermon: The Sovereignty of GodWhy does God allow pain and hardships to happen in our lives when He has the power to prevent it? Understanding the sovereign nature of God enables us to handle our frustrations when His answer to our prayers are delayed or a "no". Psalm 135:6 says, "Whatever the Lord pleases, He does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deep places."
FILIPINO 2nd SERVICE SUNDAY2.00pmVenue: Katong Audi#02-34
Speaker: Marjorie Nisperos-SamarSermon: Sifted But SavedWhat will be your reply be if one day, Christ asks you these questions – “Do you love me?” “Will you follow me?” The responses are assumed to be “yes” coupled with the intensity of your love and willingness to obey Him. However when “sifting” time comes, will your words still hold true? In this message, Jesus reminds us that when faced with great testings of faith, His love and grace is sufficient to protect, save and even restore us from our failures.
BURMESESERVICESUNDAY1.30pmVenue: #02-24
Speaker: Ps. Saw Thurane ThwaySermon: Spirit-filled Life series (part 3) - Before & After
In the Book of Acts, we read about tangible and dramatic changes in the lives of the disciples after the Passover. Then after Pentecost, there were even more tremendous moves of God and greater transformations. What is the significance of Passover and Pentecost and how has your life changed after being filled with the Holy Spirit?
YOUTH SERVICESUNDAY1.30pmVenue: Main AuditoriumOdeon Katong
Speaker: Sabrina LowSermon: Why Is Your "But" So Big?!When it comes to passion, there are no "buts". Passion is what mobilises armies into action, and causes explorers to boldly go where no man has gone before. Nothing great is ever accomplished in life without passion. The creative force behind all great art, drama, music, architecture, and writing is passion. God created us with the emotions to live a passionate life. Are we living passionate lives that will transform families, schools and cities for Jesus Christ?
2.00pmAFRICAN SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Daniel KisaSermon: The Road to Emaus
The encounter between Jesus and His disciples on the road to Emaus was enlightening and transforming. Today, the resurrected Lord wants to meet each person individually and intimately for an enlightening and life transforming encounter – from the road, through the walls and into our hearts!
TELUGU SERVICESUNDAY7.30pmVenue: Uni-Tech Bldg55 Toh Guan Rd #03-01
Speaker: Ps. Nelson DavidSermon: The Triumphal Entry
When Jesus entered Jerusalem as the King of Jews, the crowds began to praise God for all the miracles they had seen, singing "Hosanna in the highest!" But later when they came to know that Jesus didn’t come to meet their carnal expectations, they wanted to crucify Him instead. Why do we praise, worship, give thanks or follow Jesus? Is it only for our carnal needs or because He gave His life as a ransom for our sins.
