10.30amBAHASAINDONESIANSERVICEVenue: Theatrette 2Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ibu ErnaSermon: The Importance of Man's Will in Fulfilling the Will of God
Man's will usually refers to the "resolve" or "determination" of a person. When God made man, He gave him the power of choice… that is, a will by which he could choose the course of actions that he would take in his life. If so, where does God's will come in and why do believers disobey it? May we discover the joy of committing our lives to fulfilling God's will.
10.30amFILIPINO SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1 Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Hazeil MinozaSermon: Women of Great Influence (part 2)
In Proverbs 31, we read about the characteristics of a virtuous woman – a woman at her best who exudes godly positive influence. But the Scripture also warns of another kind of woman who should be avoided – the adulterous or wicked woman. She is described as "being out there waiting for her prey". Though she is as influential as the virtuous woman, her influence is one of negativity. She has cast down many wounded, and all who were slain by her were strong men.
1.00pmBURMESESERVICEVenue: #02-24
Speaker: Ps. Saw ThihaSermon: Trust Alone
The psalmist reminds us to "Trust Him at all times." The manifestation of God's power is not limited or dependent on the situations and problems we face. Rather than allowing them to hinder our trust in God, we can put our confidence in Him and allow God to move those mountains. Trust is the basic tenet of a faith-filled relationship with God.
1.30pmYOUTH SERVICEVenue: Main AuditoriumOdeon Katong
Speaker: Liu JiancongSermon: Happily Ever After (part 2 of 3)
We all dream of a “Happily Ever After”. In this 3-part series, we will address questions such as – "Why do I experience a sudden liking towards the opposite gender? How do I handle a crush? What’s the end in dating? How do I know if he is the right one?" How do teenagers emerge victorious from this sex-crazed world? Invite your friends, because the Church and the world need to hear how God intends to bless us with a “Happily Ever After”!
2.00pmAFRICAN SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Tunji OlasunkanmiSermon: Fidelity in the Face of Many Adversities
The book of Second Timothy has been rightly called the "Swan Song" of Paul. The great apostle was faced with an impending death, the manner of which he was not even sure of. And yet we see a man with a resolute faith, a steadfast hope and an enduring love. These are the same three pillars we need in order to build a victorious life in the face of many adversities today.
