10.30amFILIPINO SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1 Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Hazeil MinozaSermon: The Resurrection Power of Jesus
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the very heart of Christianity. The Apostle Paul reasoned in 1 Cor 15, “If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.” The incomparable power of God and the brightness of his glory was displayed in the Resurrection. It is also about being raised from the many seemingly hopeless tombs within which we so we often find ourselves entrapped. To believe in the Resurrection is to believe that there is not a grave of any kind that can hold us.
10.30amBAHASA SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 2Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ibu SusanniSermon: Our New Character in Christ series: Accepting Who You Are
This is a teaching series on every 2nd week of the month. This week, we will be focusing on "Freedom from a negative self image". It's important to know who we are and how God sees us; to know our strengths and weaknesses and to accept who we are. What are the signs of a person who has trouble with self-acceptance and what are its causes and consequences? Join us as we discover the truth that brings about freedom from a destructive self image.
1.00pmBURMESESERVICEVenue: #02-24
Speaker: Ps. Isaiah FadzlinSermon: Prison Break
The Word of God is full of examples of people being thrown into prisons and bound by the chains of past failures and sins. Moses stood before Pharaoh declaring these words, "Let My people go so that they can serve the rightful King". This message is about breaking out from the chains that bind us so that we can be effective workers in God's Kingdom. As we celebrate Resurrection Sunday, may we allow the power of God to break the chains in our lives!
1.00pmYOUTH SERVICEVenue: Main AuditoriumOdeon Katong
Speaker: Liu JiancongSermon: The Father's Favourite Pictures (part 2 of 2)
The Bible is filled with pictures of God’s faithful care and love towards us. Jesus promised us living waters that will satisfy permanently. And if we do not draw from Him, what exactly are we drawing from? Join us as we talk about the mood cycle and breaking free from addictions this Resurrection Sunday in conclusion of “The Father’s Favorite Pictures”!
2.00pmAFRICAN SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1Odeon Katong
Guest Speaker: Ps. Samuel OkunolaSermon: Power of Resurrection
In writing to the Philippians, Paul said, "that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death." Paul was so consumed with seeking and searching for the knowledge of Jesus Christ and encountering the power of His Resurrection that he was ready to forgo all things for this quest! As we celebrate Resurrection Sunday, what do we know about the Power of Resurrection? Can we in our day encounter and experience this same power?
