English Services Nov 14-15, 2009Saturday service • 5pm Sunday 1st & 2nd service • 8.30 & 10.30amVenue: Cornerstone Main AudiSpeaker: Ps. Yang Tuck YoongSermon: Zeal
Oftentimes we find in the Scriptures the Lord delivering a hard word or perhaps saying somethings that seemed excessive. What we have not understood is: it was His Zeal for His Father that needed expression. With Jesus, it is always all or nothing. If we are going to follow Him, then it has to be a 100% effort, nothing less. And that is zeal. It sometimes looks excessive and over the top; but it is not unreasonable when you consider it in the light of all He has done for us.
A message not to be missed!

Speaker: Ps. Samuel WongSermon: Salvation, Strength & Eternal Security (part 3)
The Bible give us very clear steps to enter into the salvation of the Lord, as well as how we may obtain strength in times of troubles, trials and turmoil. Isaiah 30:15 says, "In returning and rest you shall be saved; and in quietness and hope shall be your strength." Let us be encouraged to hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering even in the face of challenges and difficulties.
10.30amINDONESIANSERVICEVenue: Theatrette 2Odeon Katong
Speaker: Peter SamSermon: The Temple of the Holy Spirit"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit..." 1 Cor 6:19-20. The temple, in whom the Holy Spirit resides, represents the body that has been bought with a price; and it's a place of prayer & intercession for the greater purposes of His will. The Lord, once again, would like to overturn what was once a busy place in your heart, soul & body, into a place where His peace and purpose, through the Holy Spirit's intercession, rules and reigns in your life.

1.30pmBURMESESERVICEVenue: #02-24
Speaker: Ps. Saw ThihaSermon: Yes & Amen!
Nehemiah devoted himself to the work of rebuilding the ancient walls, saying "No" to wrongdoing and "Yes" to God's plans and purposes. His dedication to accomplishing the will of God demonstrates the principle of single-mindedness and wholeheartedness vital to every believer's life.
2.00pmAFRICAN SERVICEVenue: Theatrette 1Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Daniel KisaSermon: Joy in the City
Whatever gives life to a city comes from without. Our Lord spoke prophetically about the Church as "a city on a hill that cannot be hidden". Abraham left all that his eyes could see for a city that could not be seen and not built with human hands. This tells us of the kind of city that we ought to be – "a life generating city". When there is joy in the inner city (the Church), there will be joy in the outer city!
7.30pmTELUGU SERVICEVenue: Uni-Tech Bldg55 Toh Guan Rd#03-01
Speaker: Ps. Nelson DavidSermon: The Life of David
David was a man with weaknesses, but he was a great instrument and played a vital role in God’s plan. What made him trust God even through failures? His faith in God’s grace shaped his character and made him strong to run the race. Do you have struggles and battles in your daily life? Don't lose heart, knowing the life of David inspires us to keep going in our life, in the face of battles and temptations and remaining a person "after God’s own heart".
